Research
I completed my MS research on feeding behavior and reticulorumen health in early lactation dairy cows. I am now working towards a PhD focused on measuring how motivated feedlot cattle are to consume forage. Previous work from our group has demonstrated that cattle will work to gain access to forage and I'm interested in elucidating the reasons why they may be so highly motivated to access this resource.
